Our Database

 

Description

Out database contains 6660 images of 90 subjects. Each subject has 74 images, where 37 images were taken every 5 degree from right profile (defined as +90°) to left profile (defined as -90°) in the pan rotation. The remaining 37 images are generated (synthesized) by the existing 37 images using commercial image processing software in the way of flipping them horizontally.  The following images are an example in our database, showing pictures of 0° (frontal) ~-90° (left profile):

The 74 images of a subject have been "zipped" into a single file.  Each '*.zip' file is about 8 MB. All zip filenames begin with the base name 'Subject' followed by a two digit number signifying the subject number (01 - 90).

There are 74 images in a zip file.  The first part of the image filename is ‘A’ or ‘B’ which represents the real-shot or synthesized image, respectively. The following two digit numbers is the subject number. The rest of the filename signifies the corresponding facial pose. For example, the image with the filename

'A_06_-40.jpg'

is a real-shot image which belongs to subject #6 of pose -40 degree.
